Die Schriftstellerin Julya Rabinowich will in Großsölk über die Landschaft schreiben wie über Menschen – und sich ihren Ängsten stellen.

Alles, was Julya Rabinowich gemacht und erreicht hat, hat seinen Ursprung in Österreich. Mit sieben Jahren kam sie mit ihrer Familie von St. Petersburg in Russland nach Wien. 30 Jahre später ist sie als Schriftstellerin, Theaterautorin, Dolmetscherin und Übersetzerin in Österreich tätig. Darüber hinaus leitet sie Workshops mit Kindern und Jugendlichen unterschiedlicher Herkunft zu sozialen Hintergründen und arbeitet mit ihnen gemeinsam an Kunstprojekten. „Ich halte es für wichtig, Kulturvermittlung zu betreiben, weil ich denke, dass das gesellschaftspolitisch durchaus Auswirkungen hat. Kunst kann eine gewisse Verantwortung haben“, sagt Rabinowich über ihre Arbeit.
Darin liegt auch der Grund, warum die Autorin bei fremdsehen, einem Projekt der Regionale10, mitmacht. Eine neue Erfahrung wird es sein, ganz ohne Freunde und ohne Bekannte in einem anderen Ort zu leben. „Das Gefühl von Einsamkeit kenne ich nicht“, sagt Rabinowich. Für sie hat Fremdsehen etwas mit Fremdgehen zu tun, aber nicht negativ im Sinne von Betrug, sondern im positiven Sinne als ein Bewegen auf abseitsgelegenen Wegen. Diese Art von Fremdgehen macht sie zum Thema ihres Aufenthalts in Großsölk vom 1. bis 14. Juli: „Ich will in den Bergen fremdgehen.“ Für Rabinowich ist das Projekt ein Selbstversuch, eine Grenzerfahrung: „Es ist eine Konfrontation mit meinen eigenen Ängsten, der Angst vorm alleine sein und der Höhenangst. In den 30 Jahren, die ich in Österreich verbracht habe, habe ich mich nicht gänzlich mit dem Gebirge angefreundet. Ich finde diese Landschaft wunderschön, aber auch beängstigend.“ Kein Wunder, denn vor ihrer Ankunft in Österreich, kannte sie keine Gebirge und ihre jetzige Heimat Wien ist im Gegensatz zu Großsölk flach. In den zwei Wochen will Rabinowich über die Erlebnisse und eigenen Erfahrungen in den Bergen ebenso schreiben wie über die Erzählungen der Einheimischen und wie sie ihre Heimat sehen. Geplant ist eine Präsentation in Form eines Spaziergangs am Ende des Projekts, bei dem man über Lautsprecherboxen die Texte hören kann.
Wie es ist sich fremd zu fühlen, kennt die Autorin, die bereits einen Roman veröffentlich hat, aus vielen Erzählungen: Rabinowich arbeitet im Rahmen von Psychotherapiesitzungen als Übersetzerin für Flüchtlinge. Sie tut das, weil sie es als einen gesellschaftspolitischen Auftrag empfindet. Fremd zu sein bedeutet für sie nirgendwo wirklich dazu zugehören – ein Gefühl, das sie in Österreich nicht in diesem Sinne kennt. Sie fühlt sich nur fremd, weil ihre Familie nicht bei ihr ist. Zumindest ist Österreich eher ihre Heimat als ihr Herkunftsland: „In Russland habe ich mich so fremd gefühlt, wie sonst noch nirgendwo!“
Rabinowich kann dem Fremdsein auch etwas Positives abgewinnen: „Man ist beweglicher ohne feste Heimat.“ Man kann ziehen und auf fremden Wegen wandern. Im Juli wird sie dies selbst erfahren, wenn sie in Großsölk fremdgeht.
