Albanien ist eine richtige Baustelle. Überall sieht man neue Bauten, die am Enstehen sind. Als Tourist fragt man sich beim Vorbeifahren: was sind diese Halbbauten? Und wie kommt es dazu, dass dort Menschen leben? Üblich ist dass man in Albanien über mehrere Jahre ein Haus baut. Es geht nicht gleich. Man sammelt Geld im Laufe der Jahre, und dann baut man weiter. Das Erdgeschoss ist wichtig, denn man kann sich dort etablieren und dann auf die künftigen Zeiten hoffen, in denen das Haus fertig gebaut sein wird. Für den Albaner ist das Haus das Ein und Alles seiner Existenz und umso mehr kann man daraus verstehen, weshalb es so viele neue Bauten gibt. Albanien ist eine richtige Baustelle und ich bin froh darüber, denn bei den neuen Bauten kann man erkennen, dass das Land sich entwickelt, dass auch die Menschen sich entwickeln, dass sie einein guten Sinn für Ästhetik haben. Heute war ich mit dem Auto unterwegs zum Strand, und ich war überwältigt von dem was ich sah. Immer wieder und überall etwas Neues, dass es zum Beobachten gibt. Das trifft man in Österreich nicht so oft. Vielleicht bei den Baustellen, die überall in den Städten zu treffen gibt, aber da geht es um städtische Infrastruktur und nicht um neue Privatbauten. Ich wünschte mir, in Österreich würde es auch mehr neuen Privatbau geben. Oder ist Österreich bereits schon ganz fertig gebaut?

Shqipëria është një kantier i vërtetë ndërtimi. Kudo shihen ndërtesa të reja që janë në ndërtim e sipër. Si turist në udhëtim e sipër e pyet veten: ç’janë këto ndërtesa gjysmake? Dhe si është e mundur që në to jetojnë njerëz? E zakonshme është që në Shqipëri njerëzit ndërtojnë në disa vite per një shtëpi. Nuk ndodh menjëherë. Njerëzit mbledhin para në vite dhe ndërtojnë më tej. Kati përdhes është i rëndësishëm se aty mund të vendosesh e të presësh për kohët e ardhshe kur shtëpia të jetë ndërtuar krejt. Për shqiptarin shtëpia është gjithçkaja e ekzistencës së tij dhe prej kësaj mundesh të kuptosh më tej, se pse ka kaq shumë ndërtime të reja. Shqipëria është një kantier i vërtetë ndërtimi dhe unë jam e gëzuar për këtë, sepse përmes ndërtimeve të reja mund të kuptosh që vendi po zhvillohet, që njerëzit po zhvillohen, që ata kanë një ndjesi të mirë estetike. Sot isha me makinë rrugës për në plazh dhe u mahnita nga çfarë pashë. Gjithmonë e kudo diçka e re për t’u vëzhguar. Këtë nuk e ndesh shpesh në Austri. Ndoshta tek kantieret e ndërtimit që ndeshen kudo nëpër qytete, por aty bëhet fjalë për infrastrukturë qytetesh e jo për ndërtesa private. Do të kisha dëshirë që në Austri të kishte më shumë ndërtim privat të ri. Apo është Austria tashmë e përfunduar?
