Was ist „Fremdsehen“?
“Fremdsehen“ ist ein Projekt der regionale10, einem Festival für zeitgenössische Kunst, das den Bezirk Liezen in der Zeit von 02.06. bis 14.08.2010 kulturell in den Mittelpunkt stellt.
“Fremdsehen“ wird in Kooperation mit dem Afro-Asiatischen Institut Graz, dem Verein uniT der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, dem Straßenmagazin „Megaphon“ der Caritas Steiermark, der Non-Profit-Organisation ISOP und der FH JOANNEUM, Studiengang Journalismus und Public Relations, Graz realisiert.
Welches Konzept steckt dahinter?
Die Idee hinter „Fremdsehen“ ist die Diskussion über die Erfahrung des Fremdseins: 14 Künstlerinnen und Künstler, die in Österreich leben, aber nicht hier geboren wurden, verbringen zwei Wochen in einer obersteirischen Gemeinde. Ihre Erfahrungen und Begegnungen dokumentieren sie in einem Blog.
Was ist das Ziel von „Fremdsehen“?
Das Projekt soll erforschen, wie Einheimische mit „Ausheimischen“ umgehen: Was wird als anders empfunden, was abgelehnt, was angenommen? Was ist neu und bereichert? Bei welchen Gelegenheiten bleibt man sich fremd? Wo finden sich überraschende oder selbstverständliche Gemeinsamkeiten?
Beide Seiten sollen Neues kennen lernen, der fremde Blick auf das eigene Vertraute wird spannende Erkenntnisse zu Tage fördern.
Als Abschluss des Projektes wird es in jeder Gemeine eine Veranstaltung geben, an der auch hier auf der Website aktiv mitgearbeitet werden kann. Die Art der Veranstaltung richtet sich nach den Vorstellungen der KünstlerInnen und der Gemeinden und hängt nicht zuletzt auch von den Wünschen aller Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner der Gemeinden ab.
