Fiston Mwanza: Autor aus der Demokratischen Republik Kongo Der diesjährige Grazer Stadtschreiber Fiston Mwanza wurde 1981 in Lubumbashi (Demokratische Republik Kongo) geboren und studierte angewandte Pädagogik, Geisteswissenschaften und Humanwissenschaften. Im Jahr 2001 erhielt Mwanza den Prix de poésie für Regard Catangais sur la Francophonie, 2002 den Prix de la nouvelle für Entre les bras du fleuve Congo, 2005 den Prix Mwangaza für sein Poème Femme – Calebasse, 2009 den Literaturpeis (Goldmedaille) der « 6. Jeux de la Francophonie » in Beirut / Libanon, Preisträger bei den Theatertagen in Lyon 2009. Bevor Fiston Mwanza im September 2009 nach Graz kam, lebte er mit einem Stipendium der Heinrich Böll Stiftung in Langenbroich (Deutschland), kurze Unterbrechung durch ein Stipendium in Paris, wo er literarische Recherchen durchführte und bereits indirekt mit Häftlingen (d.h. via Gefängnismitarbeitern) literarisch arbeitete. Von September 2009 bis August 2010 ist er Grazer Stadtschreiber. |

Julya Rabinowich: Autorin aus RusslandGeboren in St.Petersburg, 1977 mit ihrer Familie nach Wien gekommen, von 1993 bis 1996 Studium an der Dolmetschuniversität in Wien, danach studierte Julya an der Universität für Angewandte Kunst, wo sie 2006 mit Schwerpunkt Malerei und Philosphie ihr Diplom gemacht hat. 2008 erschien ihr erster Roman “Spaltkopf”, der 2011 auch in English erscheinen soll; Julya lebt und arbeitet in Wien als Autorin. Sie schreibt Theaterstücke, die u.a. im Schauspielhaus, im Nestroyhof und im Volkstheater aufgeführt wurden. Sie dolmetscht für Flüchtlinge im Rahmen von Psychotherapiesitzungen und veröffentlicht u.a. im Standard und im Falter. 2003 erhielt sie den ersten Preis der edition exil, schreiben zwischen den kulturen und ein Jahr später ein Arbeitsstipendium der Stadt Wien. 2006/07 folgte ein Stipendium der Wiener Wortstätten und 2008 die Buchprämie für besonders gelungenes Debut des BKA für “Spaltkopf”. Im Jahr 2009 wurde Julya Rabinowich mit dem Rauriser Literaturpreis und dem MiA-award ausgzeichnet. Im selben Jahr bekam sie noch ein Projektstipendium des BKA und wurde für den Adalbert-von-Chamisso-Preis nominiert. Weiters hat sie an der 10. Internationalen Autorentagung “Junge Literatur in Europa” der Richterstiftung teilgenommen. In diesem Jahr erhielt sie bereits das Elias-Canetti-Stipendium der Stadt Wien und ein Stipendium des Retzhofer Literaturpreises. Sie nahm teil an der EUNIC-Konferenz Literature ad Immigration in Warschau, am Festival Neue Literatur in New York und an der European Literature Night in London. Katerina Cerna: Autorin aus Tschechien 1985 in Tschechien geboren, 1989, mit knapp fünf zarten Jahren nach Österreich gekommen, wo sie auf dem oststeirischen Land lesen und schreiben lernte, Geschichten schrieb und zu Gedichten Melodien erfand. Seit 2004 studiert sie Russische Philologie am Institut für Slawistik, an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz und hat im Rahmen des Studiums Auslandssemester in Prag und Odessa absolviert. Momentan ist sie auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Stil und ihrem Studienabschluss. |

Lindita Komani kommt aus Albanien und hat in Graz Betriebswirtschaft studiert. Sie schreibt Gedichte, Erzählungen, Essays und seit kurzem auch Bühnentexte auf Albanisch und Deutsch. Ihre besonderen Interessen liegen in den Bereichen Wirtschaft, Literatur, Musik, Geschichte und Politik. Das Projekt „Fremdsehen“ sieht sie als eine gute Möglichkeit, den Menschen in Österreich näher zu kommen, eine neue Perspektive über Österreich aber auch über ihr Heimatland Albanien zu gewinnen sowie neue Inspirationsquellen zu entdecken, aus denen Material für Gedichte und Erzählungen entstehen wird. In ihrem Blog hält sie Eindrücke und Gedanken fest, die ihren Weg im Rahmen dieses Projektes begleiten.“Mein Österreich riecht ständig nach Frühling, ein Fluss fließt und musiziert, die Berge überragen die Kommunikationshemmungen und laden zu gemütlichen Kaffeestunden, in denen über Land und Leute diskutiert, gelacht und ironisiert wird.”Lindita Komani im Interview mit Mario Rubenzer |

Marisol Kahrrillo: Musikerin aus Venezuela. Marisol wurde in Caracas geboren, wo sie auch ihre Gesangsausbildung in der Musikschule „Prudencio Esáa” begann. Parallel dazu studierte sie auch an der Pädagogischen Universität. Anschließend daran vervollständigte sie ihre Gesangsausbildung an der Kunstuniversität in Caracas. Im November 2006 beendete sie ihre Ausbildung äußerst erfolgreich als Magister des lyrischen Gesanges. Seit Dezember 2006 lebt sie in Österreich, und wird von Eva Klietmann-Bártfai betreut. Zurzeit begeistert Marisol ihr Publikum im In.- und Ausland mit Liedern und Arien lateinamerikanischer und europäischer Komponisten in Konzertveranstaltungen, Fernsehen und Radio. |

Maryam Mohammadi: Fotografin aus dem Iran She is based in Austria, as a freelance photographer in the field of documentation and stage photography, focusing thereby on the depiction of women. Her main focus is on gender, social issues and migration. Since 2002 numerous exhibitions in the field of art photography i.e. in Tehran, Paris, Cologne, Basel, London and Austria. From 2004-2009 she was teaching photography experiences at the Art and Archeology Institute at University of Tehran. Since 2009 PHD-study at the Jan Evangelista Purkynì University (Faculty of Art and Design) in Czech Republic. 2010 atelier place in Rondo, Graz and Member of the artist group Schaumbad, Graz. |

Seher Cakir: Autorin aus der Türkei Seher Çakır wurde in Istanbul geboren und wuchs in Wien auf. Sie erhielt 2008/2009 das österreichische Staatsstipendium für Literatur. 2004 wurde ihr Gedichtband „Mittwochgedichte“ im Hans Schiler Verlag veröffentlicht. 2005 erhielt sie mit „Hannas Briefe“ den Exilliteraturpreis. 2007 war sie Preisträgerin des Inzinger Literaturwettbewerbs. 2007 schrieb sie im Rahmen des Wiener Wortstättenstipendiums das Theaterstück „Sevim & Savaş oder Liebe und Kampf“. Ihr 2009 im Exil Verlag erschienenes Buch „Zitronenkuchen für die 56. Frau“ erhielt die Buchprämie 2009 vom bmukk. In Istanbul, Nairobi, Banja Luka geboren, in Österreich lebend bringen die 14 KünstlerInnen ihren eigenen Blick mit in die Gemeinden der regionale10. Zwei Wochen lang wohnen sie vor Ort und berichten der Welt in ihren Blogs von Liezen.
Zum Abschluss gestalten die Gäste und ihre 17 Gastgebergemeinden gemeinsam eine künstlerische Veranstaltung – man muss einander ja nicht unbedingt fremd bleiben.-
