After a short visit to the gemindsamt, I left to the Heimatmuseum in Badmitterndorf! a wonderful old place where you can smell history inside. It’s full of beautiful as well as sad memories of this beautiful small place. Pictures, Photos, Pipes, Typewriters, Rocks, bones, masks, belts, dolls, books, documents and more..
One would be crazy, to waste this nice hot weather without going to the swimming pool for few hours.. and yes, I was not crazy!
later, on the evening, I met Evelyn from AAI-Graz, who was so kind to take me on a tour to Irdning, Stainach, Oeblarn, Liezen and back to Badmitterndrof where we had a nice talk at the Hotel Post!
In Irdning: we had the chance to attend the “super” presentation of my neighbor in the student house as well as the continent; Mercy Drocas from Kenya.
In Oeblarn: we attended the first bollywood movie evening, with pamir harvery.
In Liezen: we attended a regionale10 meeting with journalists from Die Presse, germany and switzerland!
long day huh?? but it’s not over yet!
After Evi left to Irdning, I went to the Witzinger bar in the center of badmitterndorf, where I had a kleine Radler and had a useuful talk with a mexican german Tourist!
Just like every tourist here, he visits bad mitterndorf Regulary since 24 years, his grandmother got a house here (okay like everybody..). Although he was raised up in the Ruhr-area, studied and works in Berlin, he said that he has his best memories in this place. “I’m just very related to this place, the most horrible accident of my life I had it here when I was thirteen, It took me two years to walk again… the first time i entered a disco, was here in bad mitterndorf, every year I come here.. I’m a part of that place”, Peto said.
we also talked about advantages and disadvantages of having parents of different nationalities!
Everyday, I’m meeting more people who are related to that place? what so special about it?
I believe there are more people living in my street in Cairo than the whole inhabitants of this city!
The more I talk with the people here, the more they mention the “identity”. the identity of the place is what makes it best!
The houses, the bauernhouses, the typical austrian guest houses, the food and the lifestyle! It’s calm, happy and friendly!
Personally, I’m getting more used to the place! I like walking around at night.. the more i walk, the more i discover!
non-important piece of Information: I envy Austrians, for the amount of beer they got!
